In this week’s architecture and design video round-up (above), review the preliminary illustrations of The Standard Hotel Melbourne, the first boutique from the US-based hospitality group to land in Australia. New to market this month is the ‘Boa’ pouf by Netherlands-based designer Sabine Marcelis for Swedish design house Hem. The foam-filled extra seat takes its iconic form and delectable colourway from sticky-sweet doughnuts.

In Montreal, Canadian design firm Ivy Studio has imagined a 120-person co-working office space where function is balanced with an impact-making fit-out. And finally this week, step inside the Gibbon Street house. Designed by Channon Architects and Burton Architects, the project partners a lovingly restored workers’ cottage with a new block and steel-clad residence.
