The 2020 Eat Drink Design Awards shortlist
We all have to eat and drink. Yes, there are times when plain old dinner turns to degustation. On occasion, libations might be merrier than a mocktail, too.

A particularly fabulous feast or a spot-hitting tipple is likely to set tongues wagging – there’s no denying that word-of-mouth recommendations are absolutley irreplaceable.

But when a top-notch culinary experience is partnered with a thoughtfully designed destination, the act of heading out to drink and dine is simply irresistible.

Lee Broom launches ‘Maestro’ chair at London Design Festival
During a year like no other, the 18th edition of the London Design Festival is currently underway online and in-person. Among the line-up of launches and events across the nine days of the festival’s dynamic program, British designer Lee Broom has unveiled ‘Maestro’, a sculptural dining chair that is inspired by the designer’s fondness for classical music and its instruments.

Carla Sozzani curates new colours for classic Arne Jacobsen chairs
Founded in Denmark in 1872, furniture company Fritz Hansen has a long-running history of collaborating with world-renowned designers and tastemakers to realise visionary concepts. This tradition has seen classics old and new born from partnerships with homegrown Danish designers Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner, Kasper Salto and Cecilie Manz. Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon and Italian architect Piero Lissoni have also worked with the furniture house.

Italian furniture powerhouse Paola Lenti launches its best-ever outdoor fabric
After four years of intensive research and engineering, the technical team at Italian furniture house Paola Lenti has developed a coating solution that considerably increases the performance of the mono-material yarn called Twiggy. The brand says that the new yarn will deliver incredible performance when put to use in the manufacture of outdoor furniture, while also respecting the environment. Twiggy is an evolution of the polyolefin yarn that Paola Lenti first started using for its outdoor furniture fabrics 20 years ago.
